Jake gave a blanket 'yea, I can mentor any of those projects' which is nice, but doens't fill me with much confidence that we have a primary mentor for anything Orbot related. I'm on the fence about if we should remove them or flag as simply not being eligible for GSoC and mostly decided to go this way due to lack of communication. If Nathan replies later then great. https://git.schokokeks.org/tor-webwml.git/commit/8dcd28de04b336a826fbaf50646599e3a6bef63b atagar@torproject.org (Damian Johnson) Wed, 07 Mar 2012 16:32:27 +0100 8dcd28de04b336a826fbaf50646599e3a6bef63b sebastian signed a tbb once https://git.schokokeks.org/tor-webwml.git/commit/f53128883d7ade1c51acddd8e08ea97794618f40 arma@torproject.org (Roger Dingledine) Mon, 05 Mar 2012 23:13:51 +0100 f53128883d7ade1c51acddd8e08ea97794618f40 Removing unresponsive people from listing of project mentors Over a week back I asked everyone listed as potential mentors if they could do it again this year and if their projects were still relevant. Most people replied but a few, understandably were too busy to do so. This included Erinn, Nick, Nathan, and Robert Hogan. Removing them as being potential mentors and dropping the projects that they were the sole mentor for. This included... * Improve our unit testing process (Nick, Erinn) * Simulator for slow Internet connections (Nick) * Make torsocks/dsocks work on OS X (Robert Hogan) * Orbot integration library and community outreach (Nathan) We can add them back later on if they change their minds. https://git.schokokeks.org/tor-webwml.git/commit/87ad527985607f141a74f63c3208f3ca10df8c4a atagar@torproject.org (Damian Johnson) Mon, 05 Mar 2012 17:48:03 +0100 87ad527985607f141a74f63c3208f3ca10df8c4a Dropping Mike as a primary mentor from 'TorButton for Mobile Firefox 4' Mike is juggling too many things right now to be a primary mentor. At the moment we're trying to figure out if there's an alternate mentor for the thunderbird idea - after that I'll remove him from that one too. https://git.schokokeks.org/tor-webwml.git/commit/9c78fac5c007cea3aba3309b35dedaee46a77acb atagar@torproject.org (Damian Johnson) Mon, 05 Mar 2012 17:35:03 +0100 9c78fac5c007cea3aba3309b35dedaee46a77acb Raising priority of my project idea I should stop flagging everything that I work on as 'medium'. If some of these other projects can be flagged as being a 'high' priority then I can flag mine that way too. It's certianly high priority to me. ;) https://git.schokokeks.org/tor-webwml.git/commit/2ed156a4a220f83d1fbee1f88b5155125af0da10 atagar@torproject.org (Damian Johnson) Mon, 05 Mar 2012 17:10:18 +0100 2ed156a4a220f83d1fbee1f88b5155125af0da10 Adding tails' new gsoc projects Couple projects sent by intrigeri... * Petname system for Tor hidden services (ague) * Tails server: Self-hosted services behind Tails-powered Tor hidden services (intrigeri, anonym) https://git.schokokeks.org/tor-webwml.git/commit/186b0b619fbf992541c0e410e1e64be6cd3fc75b atagar@torproject.org (Damian Johnson) Mon, 05 Mar 2012 17:06:24 +0100 186b0b619fbf992541c0e410e1e64be6cd3fc75b Dropping last year's tails projects Checked with intrigeri and the prior three tails projects are no longer relevant.
